Emergency procedures
- We work with the Safety and Security Program Manager to maintain evacuation and emergency procedures documents for all library locations. We also conduct training for libraries staff on these procedures.
Fire, life safety, and ADA code and compliance
- FOM works with Building Codes Department on maintaining regulatory compliance in library spaces, as well as food permits for events.
- We consult with Disability Resource Center (DRC) as needed to increase the accessibility of our spaces and implement accommodation requests.
Ergonomics and workspace evaluations
- FOM staff are trained to perform workspace ergonomic evaluations and chair adjustments.
- We purchase ergonomic equipment that is recommended for libraries staff by DEHS Ergonomics Program staff.
