What we do
Acquisitions & Rapid Cataloging (ARC)is one of two units in the Content Acquisitions and Delivery Department of the Collections and Content Strategy Service Area of the University of Minnesota Libraries. The ARC unit is responsible for the acquisition of print monographs and serials, as well as other physical materials including multimedia, maps, scores, and archival materials (special collections):
- ordering
- receiving, including serials check-in
- invoice payment
- rapid cataloging (fcat)
- print approval plans and shelf-ready materials
- marking
