FOM is a library unit that acts as liaisons to University Services and works to maintain the physical environments of library spaces.
- Building access and key control
- Building repairs, maintenance, custodial issues, and disposal
- We work with Facilities Management (FM) on routine custodial and skilled trades requests on campus.
- We coordinate special recycling and disposal requests with Reuse and Recycling.
- Environmental issues and controls
- We work with Energy Management and FM on maintaining comfortable interior spaces and to monitor conditions for collection storage facilities.
- Mail Services
- We work with campus mail, US mail, and external delivery vendors to send and receive mail and packages for the libraries.
- Hoteling, meeting, and computer training rooms
- Shipping & Receiving
- Shelving
- We maintain a storage inventory of shelving for use across campus in all library locations.
- We complete in-house shelving projects, big and small, to meet collections and space needs while maintaining budgets.
- Signage
