Vision: Fast, easy and accessible content delivery.
Mission: In support of the Libraries' mission, Interlibrary Loan & Digital Delivery ensures that resources and collections are delivered quickly and efficiently. We work closely with other units within the Library to fulfill requests in ways that fit our user's individual needs.
What we do
Interlibrary Loan and Digital Delivery is a free service that supports scholarly research and information needs of students, faculty, and staff by providing access to materials not owned or available through the University of Minnesota Libraries, and digital copies of articles and book chapters from our physical collections. Services provided include:
- Borrowing electronic and physical resources from other libraries
- Demand driven acquisition: purchasing content for the collection based on user needs
- Sharing links to content that is open or available in our collection
- Digitizing articles and chapters from physical materials in the University of Minnesota collections.
- Digitization programs including digitization of material in alternative formats
