Interlibrary Loan Systems Advisory Committee (ILSAC)

Purpose

The University of Minnesota Libraries has a goal to provide a seamless discovery, request and delivery experience to the materials in the UMN collection as well as to the materials owned by other institutions that are part of our ILL networks. The Interlibrary Loan systems landscape is a complicated one; new systems as well as the standards for how these systems will interoperate are under development.

This group is advisory in nature and brings together a unique set of perspectives to ensure the Libraries’ and Minitex’s ILL systems are interoperable, work with other technology solutions in both organizations and meet both the Libraries’ and Minitex’s goals. This standing group of primary stakeholders and system owners is charged with ensuring robust communication between all parties involved in the sharing and delivering the materials from the UMN collections and to UMN users.
