Recruitment

The Libraries Search Guidelines document contains detailed information on what is needed to post and fill your Professional & Administrative (P&A) positions at the Libraries.  In addition, linked her are the documents to assist the supervisors and Search/Review committees in the process:

  1. Job Position Description Template
  2. Required Qualifications Best Practices
  3. Job Posting Template
  4. Implicit Bias Training course (required for all who review applications)
  5. Recruiting Solutions Access
  6. Standard Interview Questions
  7. P&A Posting Sites
  8. Search Committee Requirements
  9. Standardized Applicant Rating Spreadsheet

Libraries HR will post to the University’s Recruiting Solutions and standard professional sites and grant access to the Hiring Manager and others designated to review applications.

Libraries HR uses Skill Survey for reference checks. The search Committee Head will send the names of finalists to HR Advisor. The HR Advisor will submit the application so that the applicants can upload their information into the system.

The process for posting Civil Service (CS) and Labor Represented/Bargaining Unit (BU) position consists of submitting a completed Staffing Action Form, attaching the Job Description and Job Posting for signatures.  Libraries HR will then post the position on the University’s Recruiting Solutions site and grant access to the Hiring Manager and others designated to review applications.
