Open Research & Publishing (ORP) collaborates with colleagues in multiple disciplinary areas and works across Libraries departments to provide support for open science and scholarship through identifying, implementing, maintaining and evaluating technologies, tools, services, and programs. ORP meets the research needs of University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and graduate students and openly distributes the outputs of their scholarship. Our services and areas of expertise include: Publishing Services, Research Information Management (RIM), and Research Data Management & Curation. ORP is also home to the Data Curation Network.
In collaboration with colleagues in the Research Service Area and the Office of Copyright and Scholarly Communication, this department maintains awareness of regulatory, policy and legislative changes impacting open science and scholarship, research data management, and research information management, and coordinates education, outreach, advocacy and response to developments.
